Combs Reporting has been instrumental in contributing to the legal industry. Ken Combs began his court reporting career in 1962 and founded Combs and Greenly, Inc. Nearly 20 years later, the company became one of the largest court reporting firms in Northern California.
Ken and his business partner, Bill Greenly, was a pioneer in the court reporting industry, and was instrumental in the development of the very first scheduling calendar software systems for court reporting firms and the legal industry called RB (Reporter Base). To this day RB is used nationwide by thousands of court reporting firms. After building a successful business, Ken Combs retired in 1997.
In 2003, Ken Combs decided to come out of retirement to support his son, Todd Combs in his new venture. The legacy continued when Todd started Combs Reporting. Todd grew up in a family of seven court reporters and is very proud to follow in the family tradition. With a background in business management, aeronautics, and attending court reporting school at the Stenograph Institute of Arkansas, Todd has created and managed a successful business that has mirrored his father’s ethics and legal professionalism.
Ken Combs has now officially retired with Todd continuing the family legacy in the court reporting industry.
